Church Audio Video Sound System Installation
Church Audio Video Sound System Installation
Washington, DCOverview
Located 3 blocks from the Smithsonian, The Museum of the Bible is a privately funded museum encompassing 430,000 square feet of exhibit and performance space. During the 2 year long construction phase, Audio Design Solutions provided installation services for many areas of the facility.
The World Stage Theater
“This beautifully designed and technologically advanced 472-seat theater hosts daily presentations of biblical narratives and outstanding performances.” – MOTB Website.
Audio Design Solutions installed a Meyer Constellation System using 140 speakers to be used as an active room acoustics enhancement system. The Constellation allows for the room to acoustically present itself with the sound of a large stadium, then with the push of a button, the room sounds like a small intimate jazz hall. To keep the aesthetics appeal of the room and to give the room a clean look, all speakers were mounted behind acoustically transparent fabric. To ensure the room is performing properly, the system has 24 microphones that constantly measure the characteristics of the room and process the audio accordingly. In addition to the Constellation system, Audio Design Solutions also installed a performance audio system into the World Stage. The Meyer Mina Speaker System and Yamaha mixer prepare this system to handle many productions ranging from Broadway shows to A Cappella groups.
The Gathering Space
The 6th floor of the Museum of the Bible is designed as an event space that will rival most high-end hotels. The Gathering Space is a 500 seat divisible room with two large 27′ x 11′ video walls. The AV system can be used to present a large conference using a QSC Q-sys system for audio and a Crestron system for video.
The Conference Hall
With a continuing effort towards research and education, The Museum engaged Audio Design Solutions to install a conference system to be used for international events surrounding biblical research. The Facility includes a 100 seat hall with 4 interpretation booths. The system is based around a Taiden Interpretation system and a QSC Q-Sys system.
Building-wide Paging and BGM system
Audio Design Solutions programmed and installed a building-wide audio system for the museum. The system is designed around the QSC Q-sys audio platform and has over 50 zones throughout the 6 floors of the facility. The system incorporates a fully automated scheduling system to allow the museum staff to operate it from strategically placed touch panels.
